Ghoomar a symbol of womenhood
Traditional
folk dance of Rajasthan is popularly known as Ghoomar. The
jodhpur region is
also known as Marwar is very popular for this folk dance.
Ghoomar is
performed to express their happiness.
Ghoomar was developed by
Bhil tribe. This dance form is just not about dancing
and singing but this
traditional folk dance is actually symbol womenhood. Girls
participate in this
dance and declared that they have entered womenhood.
